Welcome to Audio DVD Creator guide! Audio DVD Creator lets you create your own Audio DVD, and play it on any DVD player. Audio DVD Creator creates not just DVDs: it lets you also create Audio CD, and play it in your car or on your home stereo.

Audio DVD Creator is very easy to use, the Wizard will guide you step by step, and you just need to click "Next" and "Back" button to go through the creation of your Audio DVD or Audio CD.

1. Steg ett - Välkommen till Audio DVD Creator!

When you start up the application, you will see a "Welcome" page. If you are a fresh user, just click "New Project" button, and a "New Project" window will be shown. You can click "Audio DVD" button to create a new project for Audio DVD, or click "Audio CD" button to create a new project for Audio CD. The project is a file which will save all the information of your Audio DVD or Audio CD, so that you can edit it later.

After you click the "Audio DVD" button, the Wizard will go to the next step "Settings" page. If you click the "Audio CD" button, the Wizard will go to "Author" page since there is no settings for Audio CD.

The guide below will describe the steps of creating Audio DVD, and the steps of creating Audio CD is quite similar to Audio DVD.

2. Steg två - Inställningar

På sidan "Inställningar", kan du modifiera de viktigaste inställningarna för din Audio DVD.

Ljudformat:

Välj det ljudformat du vill använda: PCM (48kHz/16bits) har hög kvalité, jämförbar med Audio CD, den totalt speltiden är uppemot sex timmar. PCM (96hHz/24bits) har bäst kvalité, men den totalt speltiden är bara två timmar. AC3 (192kbps) har bra kvalité, den totalt speltiden är uppemot 45 timmar och kvalitén är som sagt helt ok. Om din DVD-spelare stödjer det kan du välja AC3 (128kbps) för att få plats med fler ljudfiler på en Audio DVD.

TV-läge:

Välj det TV-läge som passar din DVD-spelare.

NTSC: NTSC (National Television Standards Committee) är den standard som använda i Nordamerika och Japan. NTSC har möjlighet att visa en upplösning på 525 linjer.

PAL: PAL (Phase Alternating Line), den standard som används i övriga delar av världen. PAL har möjlighet att visa en upplösning på 625 linjer.

Tema:

Select the theme to customize how your Audio DVD looks like. It consists of a DVD menu and a title background image which will be displayed through the whole audio playback. You can click "Customize" to create your own theme.

Customize Theme:

Click the "Customize" button to open the "Customize Theme" window. You can create a new theme, edit a theme you created before, change the background image of Menu or Title and change the color of text and edge.

Projektnamn:

Ange det projektnamn som kommer att bli det förinställda volymnamnet på dina Audio DVD.

När du är klar med inställningarna, klicka "Nästa" för att gå vidare till sidan "Komponera"!

3. Steg tre - Komponera

Nu kan du lägga till dina CD, MP3-filer eller WAV-filer till ditt Audio DVD-projekt.

Börja med att lägga till CD spår. Du kan klicka "Lägg till Audio CD" i övre vänstra hörnet av sidan "Komponera".

In "Add Audio CD" window, you can see all your CD/DVD drives in the CD-ROM list. Please insert an Audio CD disc to your CD-ROM, and select it in the CD-ROM list. Audio DVD Creator will select all the tracks by default.

You can click "Get Remote CDDB", and Audio DVD Creator will try to get CDDB information from freedb.org, then update the Album, Song Name, and other information. When you click "Add to Project", Audio DVD Creator will rip the selected audio tracks to WAV files on hard disk at first , then import them to the project.

If you cannot connect to the default freedb server, please click "Update CDDB Server List" to get the mirror server list. Then you can select other freedb servers and try again.

Du kan också nyttja tredjepartsprodukter för att rippa dins Audio CD till WAV-filer, för att sedan lägga till dem manuellt via funktionen "Lägg till musikfiler".

Genom att klicka "Lägg till musikfiler", kan du lägga till musikfiler från din hårddisk till ditt projekt.

Fönstret "Lägg till musikfiler" har ett utforskarlikande gränssnitt: du kan enkelt navigera till den mapp som innehåller ljudfilerna, du kan se alla ljudfiler som stöds i fillistan, och du kan klicka "Lägg till mapp" för att importera alla ljudfiler i vald mapp "Importera fillista", alternativt välja enstaka filer och klicka "Lägg till filer" för att lägga till dem i "Importera fillista".

"Create DVD Title" is an option of how to add Music files into different Titles.
Automatically: Music files in one folder will be added into the same DVD Title;
one-album-one-title: Music files which have same Album tag will be added into the same DVD Titlte;
one-file-one-title: Every music file will be added into different DVD Titles;
all-files-one-title: All music files in "Import File List" will be added into one DVD Title.

Avslutningsvis klickar du “OK” för att importera alla filer i "Importera fillista" i projektet.

När du har importerat ljudfilerna till projektet, återvänder du till sidan "Komponera" döär du kan se alla filer i projektlistan.

"DVD-Sektioner" visar layouten på din Audio DVD.

Du kan använda knapparna "Lägg till Sektion", "Ta bort", "Upp", "Ner" eller kontextmenyn genom att högerklicka i projektlistan, för att editera layouten avseende DVD-Sektioner och ljudfiler.

Ett exempel:
a. Lägg till Sektion och flytta ljudfilen till den.
b. Drag & släpp Sektionen eller ljudfilen till valfri postition.
c. Flytta Sektion och ljufil upp & ner.

Audio DVD Creator will set the Title/Song caption automatically:
1) If the ID3Tag or CDDB information is available, it will be used.
2) If the ID3Tag or CDDB information is not available, Folder/File Name will be used.

If you want to edit Title/Song/Artist caption, just select a node and click "Edit Caption" in pop up menu with a mouse rightclick or click "Enter" key.

The Title/Song caption will be shown on DVD Menus.

By right clicking on the title name row, and choose "Select Title Image", you can assign a backgound image for that title.

Notera: Kontrollera storleken på projektet i grafen Datastorlekså att det inte blir större än 4.3 GB (vilket är maximal storlek på en DVDR).

Kapacitetsbegränsning:
Maximal speltid för en DVD-Sektion är 6h:30m.
Maximala anatalet ljudfiler i en DVD-Sektion är 98.
Maximala antalet DVD-Sektioner är 99

4. Steg fyra - Förhandsgranska din Audio DVD

Du kan förhandsgranska din Audio DVD när du editerar den. Om det inte har blivit som du önskar, kan du alltid gå tillbaka till sidan "Komponera" eller "Inställningar" för att modifiera projektet. Detta upprepar du tills du är helt nöjd med resultatet!

5. Steg fem - Skapa Audio DVD

Du kan exportera Audio DVDn till en mapp på hårddisken så att du kan testa den med en mjukvarubaserad DVD-spelare. Därefter kan du bränna den med din favoritprogramvara för DVD-bränning.

Du kan ocksä välja att bränna din Audio DVD direkt i Audio DVD Creator med dess interna programvara för DVD-bränning. Om du har flera DVD-brännare i din PC, välj den du vill använda. Du kan även ange Volymnamn för din Audio DVD.

Färdig? Klicka "Kör!" för att skapa din Audio DVD!

6. Steg sex

Nu är det bara att vänta på frädigställandet. Du kan också klicka "Avbryt" för att avbryta och komma tillbaka till "Skapa" sidan.

How to play your Audio DVD?

You can play the DVD created by Audio DVD Creator as well as what you normally do to a commercial DVD. Besides, there are some useful (but not so obvious) features we want you know.

• How to select tracks when the created DVD has more than 10 albums (DVD titles)?

The created Audio DVD displays 10 albums (DVD titles) at a time in the DVD menu. You can press the Left/Right arrow buttons on the DVD remote to access the next/previous 10 albums.


• Play music directly (skip the DVD menu) when you insert the created DVD.

If you check the option "Play music directly instead of showing menu when disc inserted" in the "Settings" window (the second step) for creating Audio DVD, the DVD menu won't be shown and the first track (DVD title) will be played when you insert the DVD. You can access the DVD menu through the DVD remote whenever you want later. Actually this is not an option of playing the Audio DVD because you cannot change the behavior once the DVD is made. So make a choice before making the DVD.


• Return to the current page of the DVD menu.

Press the "Title Menu" button on the DVD remote will bring you to the first page of the DVD menu which will display titles from 1 to 10. Also, by pressing the "Root Menu" button on the DVD remote, you can access the menu which contains the currently playing title. For example, when you plays a track in title 23, press "Root Menu" button will bring you to the menu which will display titles from 21 to 30.
